Redmi Teases Its Smart TV Ahead of its Launch On Amazon

Xiaomi is one of the top selling Smart TVs brand in India. Xiaomi sells smart TVs under its sub-brand Mi, with Mi TVs lineup. The brand has entered Indian Smart TV market few years ago. The Chinese Tech company is now planning to bring more smart TV range in India. However, this time Xiaomi wants to bring it’s smart TVs under Redmi branding. Therefore, it will be the first time ever when a Redmi TV will land in Indian Smart TV market.

According to reports, the company is gearing up to bring it’s Redmi Smart TV lineup in India on March 17th. Also, The upcoming Smart TV is already been teased on Amazon India and Mi India Website. According to official teaser from Redmi, the television is likely to support an XL display. Although, the company has not given any official details about the screen size in which Smart TV will be available.

However, rumors suggest that Xiaomi could bring an 86-inch model for this upcoming television which was recently launched in China. If these rumors come true, then the pricing for this 86-inch model is likely to be on higher side if compared with Chinese variant. In China, the 86-inch model of this upcoming Smart TV sells for CNY 7999 which is approximately Rs 91000. The smart TV is available in sole black color option in China.

Redmi TV will be Amazon Exclusive

According to Amazon Teaser, The upcoming Redmi Smart TV XL is likely to offer smarter experience and ultra stunning visuals. The teaser confirms that the Smart TV will run on Xiaomi’s own custom TV based skin called PatchWall. With custom skin support, the Smart TV will offer customized content based on consumers requirements.

The teaser also reveals that the upcoming Redmi Smart TV XL will provide extensive audio experience to the users. In Indian market, audio is one of the biggest consideration while purchasing a new smart TV. Additionally, the brand promises to provide smooth and efficient experience. However, the teaser does not reveal any information about the chipset being used on the smart TV.

Redmi Smart TV: Made in India

Likewise previous generation TV, these upcoming Redmi Smart TV XL will also be manufactured in India only. This will not only help the brand but also allow customers, as the Smart TVs will be offered at an excellent price. By doing manufacturing in India, the brand encourages Indian Government’s make in India initiative. Therefore, now days, Xiaomi manufactures almost all of its product lineup in the country itself. This help brand to skip the import duties and allow them to price their products more aggressively.
